1. Where are you from?

I was born in Baltimore Md. but have lived most of my life in Valparaiso, In.

2.   How did you begin your art journey?

A friend could not read my chemistry notes, so she bought me some art supplies and told me to stop drawing in my chemistry notebook.

3. What inspires you?

I am blessed to have a wonderful loving muse that makes my life incredible.

4. Does your piece always end up looking like the idea that inspired you?

Sometimes I’m inspired by something, but often the initial idea is just a start of the story that the painting takes me on.

5. Do you have a favorite music/artist/genre while working on a piece?

David Bowie, Peter Gabriel. Various artists and genres.

6. Most artists are creative in many ways, what is your favorite?

Painting with brush, knife or pointillism, when you lose yourself in the process.

7. Do you have a favorite piece of your work and why?

My paintings are like children: there are some you like more than others but you are not allowed to have a favorite.

8. Does your art help with other areas of your life?

It is cheaper than therapy.

9. How do you define success as an artist?

If I am painting, then I am successful. Nothing else matters.
